Welcome to Girl Talk

Welcome to Girl Talk

Hi! Welcome to Girl Talk, I’m your host Lesley Pick! Lol! Eeeee!!! I’m super excited to share with you our new blogging adventure Girl Talk - a community built around embracing everyday struggles, celebrating joy and supporting strong, fearless women.

After being diagnosed with PCOS (poly-cystic ovarian syndrome) and quietly dealing with the loss of multiple miscarriages, I realized the need to share my story because heartbreakingly as it is, I’m not alone. So after talking to my husband about the new direction for the blog and having his blessing, I decided to take the leap!

Girl Talk will consist of the following topics:

  • Self Care
  • Nurturing Friendships
  • Infertility and Coping
  • Simplifying The Everyday
  • Celebrating Wins
  • Trying New Things
  • And of course paper!

I am not a Doctor, I am not a life coach, I am just a girl seeing the need for a place where we can get real about what’s really going on in our messy and beautiful life. This blog is for everyone who is seeking to find ways to be the best version of themselves and to find acceptance in the midst of everyday struggles. So let’s do this thing!!!

So every Friday, we’ll be celebrating our Five Wins of the Week - which I totally suggest doing this at home for yourself. Life gets so busy and hectic that we sometimes forget about all the good things that happened during the week. To help you out, I created a super fun “Five Wins of The Week” download for you to try for Free! Be sure to share your wins with us too @inclosed and #fivewins.

  1. The New Website is Up!! Yay! This has been a labor of love but we’re so super excited for where Inclosed is heading!
  2. New Charmpads are here! Woohoo! And just in time for Mother’s Day coming up!
  3. Worked out three times this week! I discovered these videos on Amazon and are free if you’re an Amazon Prime Member
    Power Yoga Weight Loss
    Cardio Yoga and Pilates
    Fitness Training At Home
  4. Made Fletcher a Daily Chore Chart & it’s actually working. Lol!!
  5. Bought flowers for the house at Trader Joe’s - FYI they have beautiful Ranunculus flowers in right now… one of my total faves!

Be the best version of yourself, even if it’s a hot mess. Embrace that shit.

I absolutely love this!

I am also dealing with PCOS and currently in the middle of strenuous fertility treatments. I think talking about it helps. It makes the whole process a lot less lonely once you realize how many people are also dealing with the same thing. I wish it was not so common. Keep your head up.

So proud of your new adventure!
My 5 faves:
1. Took a much needed 45 minute bath (the key is to stay in until you stop sweating, TMI?!)
2. FINALLY dropped off donation clothes to The Humble Lily (thanks for the advice)
3. Tested 3 new recipes; all were a win!
4. Got some stretching and movement in 4 days, woohoo! Even looked up some videos on prime, great idea!
5. Picked up PW early one day and got to take him to his haircut. It was a success!

This was so fun to do! Can’t wait to keep this going!

Love this!
